On April 22, 2010 millions around the world will celebrate Earth Day this year marking its 40th anniversary. However, many events will occur during the whole week to ensure that every one get's a chance to participate in being kind to our earth and increase awareness of recycling and better energy efficient communities.
The town of Gilbert is joining thousands of community groups worldwide in a coordinated effort to encourage millions of people to turn off their TV's, computers and electronic games and turn on the world around them. TV Turn-Off Week is a chance to read, be more physically active, converse, think, create and do, rather than view.
So make time to focus on your earth, family, friends and self!!!
